Thermal Comfort Measurements

Thermal comfort; It refers to the comfort of the majority of the employees in the working environment while carrying out their physical and mental activities in terms of climatic conditions such as heat, humidity and air flow. If there are no thermal comfort conditions in the working environment, the distress is felt first and then discomfort begins. Air temperature, humidity, air flow velocity, thermal radiation are the reasons that affect the thermal comfort in the working environment. If these factors are not suitable for the human body, it decreases the working capacity and work efficiency.

The simultaneous effect of the quantities of temperature, relative humidity, air flow rate and radiant temperature, which are the components of thermal comfort, has revealed the definition of the perceived temperature, that is, the effective temperature. In thermal comfort measurements; the pressure of heat on the worker is estimated and evaluated.
